The ZERO bar is an American chocolate bar from caramel , peanuts and almond - nougat , covered with white fudge .

history

The ZERO bar was first launched as the Double ZERO bar in 1920 by Hollywood Brands , a Minneapolis-based company . In 1934 it was renamed ZERO bar. Hollywood Brands and the ZERO brand were bought by Sara Lee in 1967 and Huhtamäki Oy in 1988 and thus became part of Leaf . In 1996, Leaf was bought by Hersheys .
