The Journal for European Private Law (abbreviated: ZEuP ) is a legal journal . It was founded in 1993 and is published four times a year by CH Beck . It publishes articles and comments on European private law and European legal history . The articles appear in German and some in English.

In the editorial of the first issue, the ZEuP u. a. described as follows: “It should be the task of this journal to strengthen the awareness of the European commonalities in private law across state and linguistic borders and to establish general private law as a fulcrum of the emerging European legal order. The common fund of the legal systems in force today, the uniform private law laid down in international conventions and European Community law are the sources of a new European private law. "

The ZEuP editors award a ZEuP prize annually for outstanding student work in the field of European private law.
