Zac Posen

Zac Posen (* 24. October 1980 as Zachary E. Posen in New York City ) is an American fashion designer . In November 2019, Zac Posen announced that his label of the same name, including the House of Z and Z-Spoke lines, will be discontinued.

Life

Posen grew up in the SoHo (Manhattan) district of New York . He attended St. Ann's High School for Artists in Brooklyn . At the age of 14 he was accepted at the Parson's School of Design and later studied in London at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design . After studying in London, Posen returned to New York in 2001 and began working on his first own collection. Since its collection premiere in 2002, Posen has been a hip designer and has outfitted stars such as Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet , Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez , among others . He has already won several awards, including 2004 from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in the Ready-To-Wear category . Zac Posen lives near SoHo with his friend Christopher Niquet and three dogs. Poznan is Jewish and in April 2012 was voted 9th among the "50 most talented, intelligent, funniest and dearest Jewish men in the world" by the Shalomlife website. In 2009 he made a guest appearance in the telenovela Ugly Betty .
