Zacharias Chrysopolitanus

Zacharias Chrysopolitanus was a scholastic and Premonstratensian canon of the 12th century.

He first worked as a master's degree at the cathedral school of the French city of Besançon (Latin name Chrysopolis ) from July 25, 1131 to around 1138. Between 1140 and 1145 he wrote his only surviving work "In unum ex quatuor, sive de concordia evangelistarum" . It is a scholastic commentary on the Gospel Harmony of Ammonios of Alexandria in 181 chapters. According to the Chronicle of Alberich von Trois-Fontaines , Zacharias entered the Premonstratensian Abbey of St. Martin in Laon after 1145. He is believed to have died around 1155.
