Zachary Scott

Zachary Scott (born February 21, 1914 in Austin , Texas , USA; † October 3, 1965 there ; born Zachary Thomson Scott junior ) was an American actor .

life and career

Scott made his film debut in 1944 on the side of Peter Lorre and Sydney Greenstreet in The Mask of Dimitrios . A year later he had great success as a male lead actor alongside Joan Crawford in Michael Curtiz's drama As long as a heart beats , and he was also seen in the western The Man from the South that same year . From the 1950s, Scott also appeared in television productions.

Zachary Scott was married to actress Elaine Anderson , with whom he had a daughter, from 1935 to 1950 , and to Ruth Ford , also an actress, from 1952 until his death in 1965 . Zachary Scott died of a brain tumor at the age of only 51. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
