The Zagrebačka banka dd ( Zaba , German Zagreber Bank ) is a credit institute from Croatia in the legal form of a stock corporation with headquarters in Zagreb / Croatia and since March 2002 a member of the Italian banking group UniCredit , one of the most successful banking groups in Europe and a leader in medium and large Eastern Europe . Zagrebačka banka dd is the largest bank in Croatia.

history

The bank was founded in 1914 under the name "Gradska štedionica" ("Städtische Sparkasse"). Since 1977 the bank has been operating under the name Zagrebačka banka. The bank has a large branch network in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina . Zaba has the largest number of ATMs in Croatia.

The bank's market share is 26% in Croatia and 18% in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The bank became a joint stock company in 1989 and has been listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange since 1995 . Internationally, its shares have been traded on the London Stock Exchange since 1996 and on the German Stock Exchange since April 2000 .
