Zakuro Ike (from Japanese ざ く ろ 池 'Pomegranate Lake' ) is a lake on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located in the northern foothills of the Langhovde on the east bank of the Lützow-Holm Bay .
Japanese scientists mapped it on the basis of surveys carried out between 1957 and 1962 and aerial photographs taken during this period . They named him in 1972.
