The Zambia Badminton Association (ZBA) is the top national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Zambia .

history

The Zambia Badminton Association was founded in July 1947 as the Northern Rhodesia Badminton Association and in March 1948 a member of the IBF . In 1952 the membership ended there, as one integrated into the national South African association. In March 1965 the current name was adopted and in April of the same year the association became a member of the IBF again. The association later also became a member of the continental umbrella organization Badminton Confederation of Africa , at that time still operating under the name African Badminton Confederation . National championships have been held in Zambia since 1970. The headquarters of the association is in Lusaka . The association is a member of the National Olympic Committee.
