Fritz Dietz
Fritz Dietz (born August 15, 1909 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 21, 1984 ) was a German businessman and multiple economic functionary, as well as the main co-initiator of the reconstruction of the Alte Oper in Frankfurt am Main.
Career
After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Dietz took over his parents' trading company for sugar imports and trading.
From 1946 to 1948 he was President of the Hessian State Food Office and from 1952 to 1977 President of the Federal Association for Wholesale and Foreign Trade .
From 1964 to 1980 he was President of the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Commerce .
The first investigative committee of the Hessian state parliament (set up on February 9, 1949), chaired by Ernst Landgrebe , had the task of reviewing the management of the former President of the State Food Office, Fritz Dietz .

- 1968: Large Cross of Merit with Star of the Federal Republic of Germany.
- 1974: Great Cross of Merit with Star and Shoulder Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany
