Johann Karl Kellmann

Johann Karl Kellmann (* 1721 in Stockholm ; † February 3, 1807 in Skänninge ) was a Swedish philologist and university professor.

The eldest son of the Stockholm mayor studied theology in Uppsala from 1737 and received his doctorate in Greifswald in 1743 . He was then tutor to the Reichsrat Graf Rosen and was appointed full professor of the Latin language, poetry and eloquence in Greifswald in 1747. In 1761 Kellmann represented the university at the Diet in Stockholm.

In 1780 Kellmann went from Greifswald to Skänninge and became provost and pastor of Allheljona and Bjielbo.
