The Zapalnya Cove (English; Bulgarian залив Запалня saliw Sapalnja ) is a 1.37 km wide and 0.55 km long bay on the southeast coast of Smith Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 10.9 km southwest of Cape Smith between Razdel Point in the southwest and Medovene Point in the northeast.
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the ancient town of Sapalnja in southern Bulgaria .
