Cone tooth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A cone tooth ( dens emboliformis ) is a special form of tooth hypoplasia . With this malformation, the tooth is too small and peg-shaped.

It is a genetic defect (for example in Bloch-Sulzberger syndrome ) that occurs almost exclusively in the area of the wisdom teeth or in the area of the lateral incisors .

To correct this, tenon teeth are usually built up with plastic or optically matched with veneers .
