The Zappa Family Trust was founded in Los Angeles during the lifetime of the composer and rock musician Frank Zappa . With the exception of the rights to evaluate large parts of the Zappa catalog of works, which were transferred to Rykodisc in 1994, the company manages all Zappa ventures in trust.
