Zbigniew Babalski (born April 27, 1953 in Ostróda ) is a Polish politician , local politician and since 2007 a member of the Sejm in the VI ., VII . and VIII . Electoral term.

He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture of the Agricultural Technical Academy in Olsztyn .

Since 1980 he has been a member of the opposition union Solidarność . He was active in the Akcja Wyborcza Solidarność social movement , after which he joined the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość party (Law and Justice - PiS).

He worked in the repair shop for agricultural machines in Ostróda, later he was a teacher at the Agricultural School in Ostróda and director of the delegation of the teaching board in Olsztyn.

From 1994 to 1998 he was City Councilor and Mayor of Ostróda. In 1998 he held the position of Voivode of Olsztyn Voivodeship . In the same year (after the dissolution of the Olsztyn Voivodeship as part of an administrative reform) he was elected to the Sejmik of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (Warmińsko-Mazurskie). He resigned from this position when he assumed the post of Voivode of Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, which he held until November 1, 2001. He then worked as the representative of the director of the regional department of the Agricultural Land Agency. In the years from 2006 to 2007 he sat again in the Sejmik.

In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected with 6580 votes on the list of PiS members of the Sejm for the Elbląg constituency . He is a member of the Sejm commissions for sport and agriculture.
