Reproduction

Zebra ant stranglers enter into a lifelong partnership. In order to strengthen the bond, the male performs a courtship ritual at the beginning of the breeding season and gives the female pieces of food as a gift. In a shell nest that is built in the forks of bushes or trees, two eggs are incubated by both parent birds.
