Zebra meat
As zebra meat which is generally meat of various kinds of zebra designates it as food and animal feed is consumed.
For reasons of species protection, only the meat of the plains zebra / horse zebra is available in limited quantities. As a member of the horse genus , the meat is of a similar quality to horse meat , but due to the almost exclusive way of life as wild animals , properties of game such as a low fat content of approx. 1.5% are typical. In Germany it belongs to the group of exotic types of meat .
