The bill Höhne in Bochum district Weitmar is a former coal mine . The colliery was a small mine and a few years after it was put into operation, it was renamed Zeche Lucia . The colliery was located at the corner of Hattinger Strasse 535a and Am Buchenhain and was only in operation for a few years.
Mining history
On November 17, 1947, the mine was registered by miners. Otto Höhne was the owner of the gallery . In April 1948 the colliery started operating as a coal mining company. In 1950, 21 miners extracted 2,874 tons of hard coal . In 1951 the Höhne colliery was renamed the Lucia colliery. At the same time as the name was changed, there was also a change of ownership, the new owner was Middelanis & Co GmbH . In the same year, 24 miners extracted 7,101 tonnes of hard coal. In 1955, 25 miners extracted 8,394 tons of hard coal. The following year, one was tonnlägiger shaft sunk . In 1960 the production rose to 31,570 tons of hard coal, this production was provided by 82 miners. In 1962 the maximum production of the mine was achieved, it amounted to 46,671 tons of hard coal. The production was provided by 84 miners. On December 12, 1964, the mine was stopped. Until that time, one was of 57 miners annual production was provided by 37,287 tons of coal. On December 30th of the same year the mine was closed.
