The Neue Mißgunst & Unvermuthetglück colliery in Bochum 's Wiemelhausen district, Brenschede district, is a former coal mine . The mine emerged from the consolidation of two previously independent mines.
Mining history
In 1782, the previously independent coal mine Neue Mißgunst consolidated with a subfield of the coal mine Unvermuthetglück to form the coal mine Neue Mißgunst & Unvermuthetglück. After the consolidation, both mines were initially in operation in what would later become the Längenfeld, Vereinigte Neue Mißgunst No. I. In the same year, the new grievance tunnel was closed, and the mine field has since been opened up by the Unvermuthetglück tunnel. From this point on, this deeper tunnel was called the new grievance tunnel . This meant that mining should take place in a westerly direction to the mine field of the Prinz Kater colliery . In 1798, the sinking of shaft 2 began. In addition, dismantling began this year. Shaft 2 was put into operation in 1800. In 1805 the Albertina, Henrietta, Victoria and Wilhelmina shafts were in operation. This year 808 tons of hard coal were mined. In the same year the remaining rights of the Unvermuthetglück colliery were taken over. In 1807, 2058 tons of hard coal were mined. In 1810 the Theodor, Victoria, Wilhelm and one air shaft were in operation. In 1812, the Neue Missgunst & Unvermuthetglück colliery consolidated with the Prinz Kater and Patriarch collieries to form the United Neue Neßgunst colliery .
