The United Schierbank colliery in Welper , City of Hattingen , is a former hard coal mine . The mine emerged from a consolidation and was also known under the name Zeche Schürbank .
Mining history
In 1803, the bill Schier Bank consolidated with the dowsing John and Sophia. Mutung Johannes was a field that used to belong to the disused Pannhütte colliery. On February 20, 1813, the Längenfeld United Schierbank was awarded . In June 1813 the Schierbänker tunnel was put back into operation. The tunnel was first cleaned , and mining began in October of the same year . From then on, the mine was in operation for several years. In 1820 the Louise and Victoria shafts were mined. In 1825, the well was Wilhelm in promotion . In 1830 the Alexander mine was in operation. In 1835 the August and Hope pits were in operation. In 1840 the Johann shaft and tunnel shaft 2 were in operation. The Heinrich shaft was in operation from 1845 to 1847. In April 1849 the United Schierbank colliery was shut down.
Promotion and workforce
The first production figures come from the year 1830, in that year 692 tons of hard coal were produced . In 1835, 1953 tons of hard coal were extracted. In 1840 5468 ⅝ Prussian tons of hard coal were mined. In 1838 ten miners were employed on the mine, in that year 1481 tons of hard coal were extracted. These are also the last known production figures for the mine.
