Thal is a village in the north of Vorarlberg , which belongs to the Austrian municipality of Sulzberg in the Bregenz district. It was formerly occupied by the Counts of Montfort .

The Thals church was built by village father Martin Sinz. The new fire station, which was inaugurated in 2010, is named after him. To the north of it is a listed Lourdes Chapel . In Thal there is also a drag lift that runs from Schützen to the Hagenberg and is therefore also called the Hagenberg ski lift .
