The Trompete colliery is a former hard coal mine in Essen-Byfang - Burgaltendorf . The mine was also known under the name of Zeche Trompete im Byfang and Zeche Trompete under the county of Mark . The mine was located in Deipenbecktal near Nöckersberg.

Mining history

The mine was already in operation in 1761 and 1762. In 1787 the mine was entered on the Niemeyersche map . The mine was in operation in 1803. In 1804 the mine was closed in time limits . On December 10 of 1830 which was Langenfeld trumpet in Byfang awarded . In 1834 mining was carried out. In the same year, dismantling to the east into Märkische began. For this reason, a mining law separation between trumpet in Byfang and trumpet under the county of Mark was achieved. The separation was only due to mining law , operationally the mine fields remained one unit. In 1840 both pit fields were mined. On October 18, 1841, the Längenfeld Trumpet was awarded under the County of Mark. Even in 1842, both mine fields were still mined. From the following year, only the trumpet field in Byfang was mined. From August 1846, only experimental work was carried out. From 1853 onwards, the trumpet field in Byfang was dismantled again. In 1856 the trumpet field in Byfang was still being mined. The mine was then closed. On May 14th of the same year the Trompete colliery consolidated with other mines to form the Steingatt colliery .

Promotion and workforce

The first workforce dates from 1834; 20 miners were employed in the mine. The first production figures come from the year 1836, 6958 Prussian tons of hard coal were produced . In 1840 the production rose to 10,504 Prussian tons of hard coal. In 1842, 11,995 Prussian tons of hard coal were mined. In 1846 the production was 15,114 bushels of hard coal. These are also the last known figures for the mine.
