The Zehdenick was a German cargo ship.

history

The Zehdenick was built in Holland in 1882. It was named after the town of Zehdenick in Brandenburg . Since 1890 it has belonged to the Woermann line .

The Zehdenick carried mixed freight and passenger traffic from Berlin to Oranienburg , Zehdenick, Liebenwalde and Templin . In the autumn of 1890, the Carl Woermann company acquired the Zehdenick , which it brought from Hamburg, loaded with cargo, to Cameroon in the tow of an ocean liner.

In November 1891, the Cameroon police force chartered the ship for a military expedition. During this venture, the Zehdenick stranded on the night of November 28th to 29th, 1891 near Quaqua on the coast of the German colony of Cameroon and ended in total loss.
