Zeitgeschichte-online is based at the Center for Contemporary History Research (ZZF) in Potsdam and has been operated by the ZZF and the Berlin State Library since 2004 through a grant from the German Research Foundation . Zeitgeschichte-online is a module from Clio-online . The portal cooperates with the communication platform H-Soz-Kult . The electronic journal Zeithistorische Forschungen is part of Zeitgeschichte-online .
idea
Zeitgeschichte-online pursues the idea of making contemporary historical research accessible to an interested public and promoting the exchange between scientists and students. The aim is to record debates that are of current social relevance in order to classify and reflect them historically.
Content focus
The portal provides different materials on various contemporary history topics. Are presented institutions and individuals who are active in the field of contemporary history. Zeitgeschichte-online draws attention to online forums that deal with issues of contemporary history and presents research projects. Exhibitions and films with contemporary history are addressed.
