The Journal for Theology and Congregation (ZThG for short) is a theological journal published by the Society for Free Church Theology and Journalism (GFTP eV), which has been published annually since 1996 with around 320 pages.

Authors and editors

In the ZThG, mainly free church authors publish scientific articles and theological convictions, but theologians from other churches can also publish in them. The ZThG's motto is: “Fides quaerens intellectum” (Faith that asks for insight). It goes back to the theologian and philosopher Anselm of Canterbury . In the opinion of the editors, “believing” and “understanding” belong closely together.

From the beginning until 2014, the editor was the former Baptist theologian Kim Strübind , who converted to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria in 2012 . The editors are now Andrea Strübind , Irmgard Stanullo, Olaf Lange and Wolfgang Pfeiffer.
