The journal for open property issues, rehabilitation and other reparation law (abbreviation: ZOV ) is a legal journal that has been published since 1991 , which deals with the entire right of reparation for injustices under National Socialism and in the GDR and in particular the right to the restitution of confiscated assets.

history

The magazine appeared up to issue 4/2011 under the name of the magazine for open property issues , initially monthly and later every two months. In 2012, the current publication rhythm was changed. Former editors were judges and ministerial officials like August Kayser, Harald Kinne and Hans-Hermann Lochen as well as lawyers like Wolfgang Lüder and Jost von Trott zu Solz .

After the discontinuation of other publications ( German-German legal magazine , "VIZ - magazine for property and real estate law"; "Open property issues special"; "Information service for burden compensation"), the ZOV is next to the New Justice , which still regularly publishes on the GDR - Wrong brings the last trade journal on the subjects it deals with. Your content is available in the electronic database operated by the Grundigentum-Verlag.

The journal is held in several court and university libraries.

Content

The ZOV is characterized by the reproduction of relevant court decisions. In addition, there are technical articles, decision notes, conference reports and news from the Federal Office for Central Services and open property questions with information on legal provisions, work instructions and circulars from the responsible offices.

The topics covered by the magazine include in particular:

The main focus is currently on the legal treatment of Nazi-looted art , legal issues in connection with the Jewish Claims Conference and reparations for victims of the land and industrial reform in the Soviet occupation zone and for former GDR children .
