Zeni Pereira

Zeni Pereira (born December 19, 1924 in Salvador da Bahia , † March 21, 2002 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian actress.

Pereira began her career with the Oscar-winning film Orfeu Negro (1959). Further roles in feature films followed. From 1969 she worked increasingly in television productions, such as When the Carnival Comes (1972), Bahia (1975) or in the internationally successful television series Die Sklavin Isaura (1976). In 1985 she played a role again in the feature film Women's Penitentiary 5 , but otherwise remained loyal to Brazilian TV. She played her last role in 1994 in the series Pátria Minha .

On March 21, 2002, she died of a heart attack .
