Central Office for Church Statistics

The Central Office for Church Statistics is an administrative authority within the Roman Curia .

According to the Apostolic Constitution Pastor Bonus , this particular institution is subordinate to the State Secretariat , the head of which is the Cardinal Secretary of State . The Central Office for Church Statistics is part of the First Section of the State Secretariat “General Affairs” . The task stipulates: "With the help of the Central Office for Church Statistics, it collects, coordinates and publishes all data that have been compiled according to the statistical rules relating to the life of the universal Church around the world ..." The Central Office is by and large Measures involved in the collaboration and preliminary work, as well as in the preparation of the Annuario Pontificio .

The office was established in 1967. The service building is the Apostolic Palace.
