The Center for Software Competence of the Bundeswehr (ZSwKBw) is an office with headquarters in Euskirchen- Flamersheim , as well as other locations in Munster , Dresden and Berlin .
The center belongs to the organizational area of cyber and information space and is subordinate to the information technology command of the Bundeswehr in Bonn. His tasks include the development of independent software products as well as the adaptation of commercial or military software to the special needs of the division of the Federal Ministry of Defense.

In addition to the head of the department, the center is divided into five departments:

history
The Bundeswehr Center for Software Competence emerged from the Bundeswehr Cyber Security Center , which is also stationed in Euskirchen. The official assembly roll call took place on May 28, 2019 in Euskirchen. Here, the deputy of the cyber and information space inspector, Major General Jürgen Setzer , handed over command to the first commander of the ZSwKBw, Colonel Peter Hillermann.
