Zhang Zhizhi
Zhang Zhizhi ( Chinese 章 志 直 , Pinyin Zhāng Zhìzhí ; * 1901 in Changzhou , Chinese Empire ; † October 29, 1970 ) was a Chinese actor.
biography
Zhang got into film in 1926. In the early 1930s, he went to the new strong film production company Lianhua . The corpulent actor was initially seen in supporting roles, often as a couple with the thin Han Langen , for example in Tao hua qi xue ji ( The Peach Girl , 1931) by Bu Wancang and Ye meigui ( Wild Rose , 1932) by Sun Yu . In Wu Yonggang's 1934 classic Shen Nu , Zhang played a violent pimp alongside Ruan Lingyu ; In the crime drama Lang tao sha (1936) by the same director, Zhang was the detective who pursues a sailor (played by Jin Yan ) who has killed his wife's lover and who ultimately dies with him after a shipwreck on a desert island.
Zhang Zhizhi's career ended in 1958.
