The Zhongtiao Shan or Zhongtiao Mountains (Chinese 中 条 山; Engl. Zhongjiao Mountains ) is a mountain range in the southwest of the Chinese province of Shanxi .
It runs from northeast to southwest, borders the Taihangshan Mountains in the east, extends to the Yellow River ( Huang He黄河) in the south, and to the valley of the Fen He River (汾河) in the northwest . It has a length of approx. 160 km. The highest mountain is the Wuwangping舜 王 坪 with a height of 2322 m , the Xuehuashan雪花 山 is 1994 m high. In the mountains there is a significant copper - deposit .
