Zhou Jiping

Zhou Jiping ( Chinese  周吉平 , Pinyin Zhōu Jípíng ; * March 1952 ) is a Chinese manager .

Life

Zhou studied geology at the China University of Petroleum in Beijing . As a geologist, he got a job with the Chinese company Petrochina and rose to the position of CEO in this company. In August 2010, Zhou announced that it would greatly expand Petrochina's overseas operations. There are also partnerships with BP and Conoco Phillips in negotiation. Since 2013, he has succeeded the Chinese manager Jiang Jiemin as managing director of the parent company China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). At the beginning of March 2014, Zhou announced that the state-owned company CNPC was opening up to private investors in six business areas, including abroad.
