Zhou Mi (writer)

Zhou Mi周密 (* 1232 ; † 1298 ) was a man of letters during the early rule of the Yuan Dynasty in China.

The Wulin jiushi 武林 旧 事 (»The Past from Hangzhou«) contains his memories of Lin'an (临安) (that is Wulin (武林) and today's Hangzhou ), the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty before the Mongol invasion.

His Yunyan guoyan lu was translated into English by Ankeney Weitz under the title Zhou Mi's Record of Clouds and Mist Passing before One's Eyes (Leiden 2002).
