Zhuanxu

Zhuanxu ( Chinese  顓 頊  /  颛 顼 , Pinyin Zhuānxū ), or also known as Gāoyáng ( Chinese  高 陽  /  高 阳 ) is a legendary monarch of ancient China .

He is the grandson of Huangdi and is said to have existed from 2490 to 2413 BC. Have ruled. He let the "Shi" clan emigrate eastwards to Shandong , where they allied with the "Dongyi clan" and enlarged them through weddings. At the age of 20 he became their monarch and died after 78 years of rule.

He campaigned for a uniform calendar, worked in astrology, introduced religious reforms against shamanism , maintained the patriarchy , which replaced the previous matriarchy , and prohibited marriage within the clan.

Zhuanxu is one of the five great emperors of China .
