Ziara festival

The Ziara Festival is a recurring festival in the mountain oasis Tazrouk in the east of the Ahaggar Mountains in Algeria . The traditional festival takes place in August each year among the Imuhar and is held in honor of Cheik Moulay Abdallah . Camel races and Iljugan (dance of the camels to the rhythm of the tinde ) are celebrated.

At 1942 meters, Tazrouk is the highest village in Algeria, which helps the few tourism to an upswing due to the pleasant temperatures. Fig trees , apricots , almonds and poplars grow there . Peas , carrots . Salad also thrives in the region.
