Zig and Sharko is a French animated series that has been in production since 2010. After Oggy and the Cockroaches and A Home for Aliens, it is the third larger series from Xilam and comprises 198 episodes.

Characters

  • Zig , a hungry hyena , lives on a volcanic island and is constantly trying to eat Marina. That's why he forges malicious plans with Bernie to catch Marina.
  • Marina is a mermaid who is mostly happy, cheeky, loving and childlike. Her best friend is Sharko, who also acts as a bodyguard against Zig. Zig is constantly chasing Marina, but she seems unaware of his intentions and is always friendly when she sees him.
  • Sharko , a shark , defends Marina from Zig and the sea god Neptune . He's also deeply in love with Marina.
  • Bernie is a hermit crab who lives with Zig on the island and tries to help him with his malicious plans, which always fail.
  • Neptune is a mermaid who sees himself as king. He lives in a palace on the ocean floor on a cliff. Several prisons hang under his palace. Neptune also commands an orca guard, a cook ( lobster ) and a beautician ( octopus ).

In the series, not a single word is spoken by the characters.
