Zigmas Angarietis
Zigmas Angarietis , original family name Aleksa, (* 1882 in the village of Obelupiai, Uesd Vilkaviškis, Russian Empire , today Lithuania, † May 22, 1940 in Moscow ) was a Lithuanian revolutionary.
Angarietis was a co-founder of the Communist Party of Lithuania, Minister of Internal Affairs in the first Soviet government in Lithuania from late 1918 to early 1919. He was arrested during the Stalin Purge in 1938 and executed two years later.
