Zigma's povilaitis
Zigmas Povilaitis (born December 27, 1934 in Šakiai ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
In 1952 he graduated from the agricultural school in Karkliniai in the district of Vilkaviškis and worked in the "Paryžiaus Komunos" kolkhoz as a gardener and then as a chief agronomist. In 1962 he graduated from the Technical Center of Agriculture in Joniskelis and became an agronomist. In 1969 he graduated from the Diploma in Agronomy and Economics at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija and 1991 postgraduate and doctorate at Lietuvos agrarinės ekonomikos institutas in economics . From 1992 to 1996 he was a member of the Seimas narys. After that he was retired, member of the board of UAB “Šakių šilumos tinklai”. From 2003 to 2015 he was a member of the council of the Šakiai district municipality .
From 1990 he was a member of the Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija and from 2001 the LSDP .
