Zinc castle
The so-called zinc castle in Schwabach , an independent city in the administrative region of Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ), was probably built in the 17th century. The former farmhouse with the address Boxlohe 18 is a protected monument .
history
The zinc castle, named after the family who owned it in the 19th century, was created through the repeated renovation of a late medieval building. On the basis of an older component of the medieval city fortifications , today's property developed over several stages from the two-storey main building from the 15th century via wing structures added to the rear in the 18th century to a closed complex with an inner courtyard and access gate from the 19th century.
