The Zinnaer street is a street in Jüterbog . It is a main street train in Jüterbog and begins at the Zinnaer Tor south to the Planeberg street and then continues west to the market . 28 houses in the street are listed. history

The street used to be called Zinnaerthorstraße or Zinnaer Torstraße. The street was part of the market, here the cattle stood at annual fairs . In the western part of the road maids and servants hired themselves. Up until the Thirty Years' War, the “Zu den Sieben Kurfürsten” inn was located in the neighboring houses, Zinnaer Strasse 17 and Markt 5, and number 23/24 was the “Zum Mohren” inn.

The horse-drawn tram ran through the street from 1897 to 1928. Today the street is characterized by shops.

Houses

The development is uneven. Modernizations have changed the image of the street. Building 23/24, a renaissance building, determines the image of the street. A selection of the houses:

The house at Zinnaer Straße 4 was built in 1740 by a baker. It is an eaves half-timbered house with two floors. There is a craft sign above the gate entrance.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 6 was built in the middle of the 18th century. It is a nine-axis, eaves-standing half-timbered house. The elongated house characterizes the northern part of the street. The house is falling apart and is uninhabited.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 7 was built around 1800. It is a two-storey half-timbered house on the eaves. There is a medieval cellar under the house.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 9 was built in 1803. It is a two-storey half-timbered house on the eaves. Under the house there is a medieval cellar with a barrel vault.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 14 was built around 1680. It is a two-storey, gable-free half-timbered house. There was a black kitchen in the house until 1880, and under the house there is a cellar from the Middle Ages.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 17 was built in the middle of the 18th century. It is a two-storey eaves half-timbered house with a half-hipped roof. It's on the corner of the market. The house has six axes with a two-axis central projection. The Braukrug restaurant is located in the house. Up until the Thirty Years War, the inn "To the Seven Electors" was located here.

The year of construction of the house at Zinnaer Straße 22 is unknown, it is a two-storey eaves-standing house.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 23/24 was built from 1610. It is an eaves-standing three-story house. The restaurant Zum Mohren was located in the house . The first floor is made of brick, the other floors are made of half-timbered houses. The house is the oldest surviving house in Jüterbog.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 28 dates from the middle of the 18th century. It is a two-story gable-independent house. It is an example of a craft house from the construction period.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 30 was built in 1832.

The house at Zinnaer Straße 32 was built in 1870. It stands west of the Zinna gate tower.
