Zionskirche (Klein Süstedt)
The Zionskirche belongs to the independent Evangelical Lutheran Church and is located in the Klein Süstedt district of the district town of Uelzen in the district of the same name in northeast Lower Saxony .
history
The Zionskirche was inaugurated as a half-timbered building on February 20, 1879. In 1905 the building was given a neo-Gothic west tower, which is now a listed building.
Between 1968 and 1969 the old half-timbered building was replaced by a new, simple brick building due to its small size . The west tower was retained and was integrated into the new ship. The inauguration took place on March 23, 1969. The framework of the nave was taken over by a local furniture factory and used as a drying hall for furniture wood. The organ was built in 1998 by master organ builder Christoph Böttner .
