action

The four forest animals Fridolin, Carl, Carlotta and Susi have had enough of the difficult life in the wilderness. Therefore they go to the city, where they have to beware of animal trappers. They dress up as pets and are taken in by the Westerfields. Their house cat Viktoria doesn't like this at all.

Characters

  • Fridolin: This fox is the leader of the small group of forest animals. While he's smart, he's also prone to overconfidence, which often gets him into trouble. He dresses up as a dog. Originally his name is Washington.
  • Carl: Carl is a boar and Fridolin's best friend. He disguises himself as a cat, but is by no means as clever and clean. Carl usually thinks with his gut, but can be very attentive when it comes to his friends. In the original his name is Sam.
  • Carlotta: She's Carl's little sister and dresses up as a rabbit. Carlotta is particularly fascinated by people's technical things. Her original name is Eugenie.
  • Susi: Susi is a blackbird and Carlotta's best friend. She disguises herself as a canary.
  • Victoria: She is the Westerfields house cat and the only one who knows the identity of the forest animals. Most of the time she is bored and just wants to be left alone. Over time, however, she developed a certain sympathy for the new roommate.
  • Mr. and Mrs. Westerfield: The childless couple took in their friends. Hardly anything is shown about their work.
  • Mona and Lisa: They are two cats in the neighborhood who often observe the strange behavior of their four friends. While the purple-blue Lisa doesn't like her at all, the pink-colored Mona is secretly in love with Fridolin.

Series title

The title Zip Zip is derived from the zipper that forest animals use to close their costumes.
