Circus Hein

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Circus Hein was a 1933 by Rudolf Hein (1910 to 1959) jointly established with his wife Adelheid (1911-1994) Circus . Rudolf Hein came from a circus family, just like his wife, who came from the large Sperlich circus family, her father was Waldemar Sperlich.

history

Immediately after getting married to the artist Rudolf Hein, Adelheid Hein and her husband founded a variety show in 1933 , with which they traveled through small towns. The Second World War , which began in 1939, put a quick end to this, because Rudolf Hein became a soldier and Adelheid went back to her father's circus.

It was not until 1948 that the Hein Circus went on tour again in the Soviet occupation zone , but initially only with a round screen without a big top . In 1950 a two-master could be purchased. After Adelheid's father gave up his business in 1953 and Uncle Oskar Sperlich closed his circus, many of the Sperlich relatives came to the Hein circus. The typical family business expanded and the program design became much more efficient. After Rudolf Hein's death, Adelheid Hein continued to run the circus.

The Hein circus was the first privately licensed circus in the GDR to have a traveling school. Many young artists from his own and related families worked for Hein. In 1986, on her 75th birthday, Adelheid Hein handed the Hein Circus over to her nephew Rudolf Sperlich, together with Adelheid's grandson Vernado Hein as artistic director.

In 1986 the Meritz and Krämer families left the company and founded the Rolandos tent variety. In 2000 more families left the company and founded the Sperlich Circus (directorate Andre Sperlich).

In 2001 the circus was closed. Circus Hein had its winter quarters in Neunaundorf near Herzberg until 1969 , later in Meltendorf near Jessen (Saxony-Anhalt). Adelheid Hein's grandson Vernando Hein continues to perform programs with his family. Rudolf Sperlich Director of Circus Hein worked at the Plohn amusement park from 2002 to 2012, where he and his family presented the shows. Other family members are now active as showmen .
