The Cistercian convent Las Dueñas (Córdoba) was a monastery of the Cistercian women in Córdoba , Spain , from 1370 to 1868 .

history

The nunnery of Santa María de las Dueñas ("Maria Damen"), founded in 1370 by the local nobility, existed until 1868 at today's Plaza Cardenal Toledo in Córdoba. Then the convention was dissolved. The remaining nuns moved to the La Encarnación monastery . The park Jardín de las Dueñas (with Bar Las Dueñas ) is reminiscent of the former monastery.
