Zoccoli
Zoccoli (Italian, singular: Zoccolo "wooden shoe", "wooden sandal") are wooden shoes that are made from a piece of wood and are held on the foot. In France they are called sabots , in English cloggs, Dutch clogs and Italian zoccoli . Sometimes also so called wood sole shoes, the shoe sole from a piece of wood is made with and the band or belt made of leather or other material on the foot are attached, be it the toes or in addition to the ankle ; these can be sandals without heels or sandals with flat to high heels.
Zoccoli are not to be confused with Chopine , Kothurn , Nalin , Kabkab , Geta , Okobo ( Pokkuri-Geta ) or Trippen .
In Switzerland, wooden sandals are commonly called zoccoli .

- Zoccoli also means hooves in Italian, from hoof: zoccolo.
