Light diesel aircraft engine from Zoche in the Deutsches Museum Bonn
The Zoche aero-diesel is a German company based in Munich specializing in two-stroke diesel engines for airplanes . The engines are compared to the usual petrol - aircraft engines lighter, thanks to compact design as a radial engine . For this new design practically all engine parts had to be redeveloped, for which Michael Zoche received the Philip Morris Research Award in 1992 .
