Zoe Mazah (born January 22, 1975 in Bong Town , Liberia ; stage name: Zoe) is a German singer. She became known through the hits Could It Be You and Rock Steady .

Shortly after she was born, her parents, the mother is Liberian and the father German, moved to Penzberg near Munich. She graduated from high school in Nuremberg and studied jazz singing and composition. Her first single came out in 2001.

Her first two albums were released on the Munich independent label Chet Records , her third in 2007 on the Berlin label Homeground Records, which specializes in reggae and hip-hop. The downtempo maxi EP Laith Al-Deen featuring Zoe - Meilenweit was released in 2004 on Columbia Records .
