Zoltan Döhme

Zoltán Döhme , also Zoltan Döme or Zoltan Doeme ( 1864 in Hungary - January 16, 1935 in Munich ) was a Hungarian opera singer ( baritone / tenor ) and singing teacher .

Life

Intended for a military career, after discovering his voice, he changed his profession, studied in Vienna and London with first singing masters and devoted himself to the stage. He earned his spurs both in the Italian opera of the Coventgarden Theater in London ("Donner", "Wotan" etc.) and in the concerts there. In 1893, however, he came to the conclusion that he did not own a baritone but a tenor and entrusted the main training of the organ to Professor Giovanni Sbriglia in Paris, with such success that he made his debut as a tenor in the title role of the Parsifal could dare at the Bayreuth Festival .

In 1896 he married Lillian Nordica , the marriage failed in 1904.

After finishing his career he lived as a singing teacher in Munich.
