Zombiez is a four-member rap group from Germany that the genre shadow bass belongs.
Band history
The Hanoverian rapper G-Ko and MXP competed as a duo D & D (Dick & Doof) and published in 2017 the album Brain Damage & Cannon on psaiko Music, where she with MC Basstard on the track creatures collaborated. The idea of further collaboration arose afterwards. The formation was then joined by Tamas , who was previously active as a crossover artist, and the DJ KVSV (pronounced: Kasa). The group gave itself the name Zombiez and appears masked in public. These masks are custom-made, which the American mask artist Mike Skaggs made based on a template by Steve Bielke . The musicians changed their pseudonyms, Basstard became Purple Z, Tamas became Zombie Whytte, G-Ko became Zombie Red, MXP now appears as Zombie Block and KVSV as Zombie Gr € ¥.
At the end of June 2017, the first single T.OT was released. In addition, the band opened up for the US-American $ uicideboy $ . More videos and impressions from the backstage followed.
The debut album Gott ist tot was released on June 1, 2018, and the box that came with it contained the Runes # 1 EP. The Albun reached number 35 in the German charts. In 2019, the double EP Schande followed , which also included the EP Rotten Goat when the limited box was purchased .
On August 4th, 2019, the Zombiez announced via social media that Purple Z is no longer part of the band. The reason given was that he was "enlightened" and that further details will not be published. The band will continue to work on music with four of them.
music
Musically, the group belongs to the horrorcore rap genre. The music draws influences from the Dark Trap and uses double-time passages. In contrast to a majority of the genre, not only horror topics and splatter texts are used, but also a focus on political statements.
