Zoomorphology is a scientific journal published by Springer-Verlag. The magazine was founded in 1924 under the name of the magazine for morphology and ecology of animals . In 1967 there was a split into the journals Oecologia and Zeitschrift für Morphologie der Tiere . In 1975 the name of the latter was shortened to Zoomorphology and since 1980 the journal is called Zoomorphology . The magazine is currently published four times a year. Works are published that deal with morphological issues in vertebrates and invertebrates.

The impact factor in 2014 was 1.702. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks ninth out of 20 journals in the anatomy and morphology category and 42nd out of 153 journals in the zoology category.
