Louis Rillet de Constant

Louis Rillet de Constant , baptized Frédéric Jacques Louise Rillet de Constant ( January 17, 1794 in Geneva - December 16, 1856 ) was a Swiss officer and politician.

His father was Horace Bénédict Rillete, his mother Anne-Rosalie de Constant-Achard. He attended the Acedémie Geneva from 1807 to 1810, where he took a humanistic degree. From 1810 to 1812 he was at the Ecole militaire Saint-Gérmain.

From 1812 to 1822 he worked as a professional militarist in France. In Switzerland he was colonel of the cavalry from 1850 to 1856.

His political career began in 1821 as a representative of the Grand Council of Geneva. In each of the years 1836, 1837 and 1847 he was the delegate of the diaries of the Canton of Geneva. In 1841 he was a member of the Constitutional Council, from 1842 to 1846 as a member of the Grand Council of Geneva, and in the legislative period of 1847/48 he was also the Geneva State Council.
